Love on the Edge

The program notes Ray Carney wrote for the catalogue that accompanied the 1997 Miramax four-city retrospective of the Films of John Cassavetes: Love on the Edge--Six Films from the Legendary Independent Director John Cassavetes. The screening series was funded by Miramax to accompany the release of Nick Cassavetes' She's So Lovely, which was being promoted as being based on a script by his father, even though the son's film had been extensively rewritten and was significantly different from Cassavetes' script.
