1. Build the Dollars for Darfur Network

  • Talk about Dollars for Darfur with your friends on instant messenger and on the Dollars for Darfur Facebook [link to Facebook D for D group] and MySpace [link to MySpace D for D group] group pages!
  • Divide up your school by sports, special interest groups, or other groupings specific to your school. Assign kids to be responsible to network (via Facebook and MySpace) within each group.
  • Have a friend in another area or state? Ask them to join the challenge!

2. Be Visible

  • Wear the Wristband!  Click here to order “not on our watch” wristbands and other Save Darfur store items for the fundraising efforts at your school.  The wristbands are usually 10 for $15. However, if you order 40 or more and say that it is for the Dollars for Darfur challenge, you may order them at a dollar a piece. Wristbands could be used as incentives to donate larger amounts of money to the challenge.
  • Click here to download posters from the Committee on Conscience of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to post around school. Use these posters and/or posters made by students at your school to advertise the challenge and tell kids about the Dollars for Darfur websites.

3. Organize a Fundraising Campaign at Your School

  • Share your fundraising ideas with other schools and students on the Dollars for Darfur website.
  • We'll post the best of these ideas and acknowledge your school.

4. Educate

  • Work with your friends to educate the students at your school about the situation in Darfur.
