Dr. Yuwei Fan is a research associate professor at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Fan's research interests are biomineralization, enamel regeneration, electron microanalysis, digital dentistry technology, functional biomaterials, dental materials property evaluation, and restorative materials clinical performance. He has authored/co-authored more than 60 peer reviewed publications and more than 100 conference abstracts and meeting proceedings. He has served as research mentor for 58 postdoctoral residents on their masters and doctoral thesis projects and 22 predoctoral dental students at BUGSDM. He has guided residents and students with well-designed experiments to acquire both scientific facts and research skills in the biomaterials lab.
