Visual cortex decomposes a retinal scene through parallel pathways, each representing different aspects of an image.
The separate pathways are subject to distortions and fractures. Each stream may separately attract associations based on prior experience.
The designs presented here are metaphorically related to this process: A single image is decomposed into multiple elementary drawings presenting a narrow interpretation of the whole.
Each elementary form may stand alone, or combine with other forms in synthesis.
