Welcome, Class of 2018!

This is the website for our class. All assignments and lectures and information will be posted here. You can reach me by phone or text at 617-353-8908, or by email at tgb@bu.edu, or in person at Room 927, Photonics Center, 8 Saint Mary's Street, Boston, MA.

The course is intented to be a hands-on excursion into the subject of light-based engineering. We'll study the eye, microscopes, telescopes, lasers, light-emitting diodes, and lots more. There are no prerequisites except curiosity and willingness to learn.
