The AK-47 Assault Rifle is the most commonly used assault rifle in the world. It was invented by Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1947 (thus the 47 in the name). It uses 7.62 x 39 mm ammunition in its 30 round detachable box magazine. It is capable of automatic, and semi-automatic fire. Automatic is when the rifle continues firing as long as there is ammunition in the magazine and the trigger is held down. Semi is one shot per pull.
