Isolation
It was isolated in 2000 from the
oragnic extract of the fermentation broth of Micromonospora
microorganism
by Hegde and coworkers.
Biological activity
It can selectively activate (ED50 = 25
μM)
transcription from the low-density lipoprotein
receptor (LDL-R) promoter.
