CD Release party for Abhayamudra at the Middle East downstairs. Sunday, October 24, 2004
Available November 2 from Strange Attractors Audio House
a 2xCD collection of what Cul de Sac and Damo Suzuki consider to be the best moments of the 45 dates they played together on tour in 2002 and 2003 - nearly 138 minutes of stunning psychedelic avant mayhem, performed live and entirely on the spot.
Original Soundtrack Recording The Strangler's Wife
To be released later this year (also on Strange Attractors) is our soundtrack to Roger Corman / New Concorde's The Strangler's Wife. Produced by CityScape Motion Pictures, the film was shot entirely in Boston, with local talent -- actors, director, writers, set designers, etc. Cul de Sac was commissioned to provide the score. Nearly an hour of our music is used in the film, and it's all here. For background on the film, we recommend CityScape's website at http://www.cityscapefilm.com
ECIM to be reissued!
After being out-of-print for a coon's age, our debut album, ECIM (1991) is slated to be remastered and reissued by our friends at Strange Attractors. When the album was deleted by Rough Trade in England nearly a decade ago, we snapped up all the remaining copies they had, and it's a good thing we did -- it's been our most frequently ordered album via our website. No definite date for the release of the album has been set. Meanwhile, we do have a few copies remaining, in case you can't wait or want an original pressing. When they're gone, they're gone.
A recent Cul de Sac profile and interview, by Jeff Fitzgerald (Aural Innovations, July 2002), can be seen at: http://www.aural-innovations.com/issues/issue20/culdesac
