Nalin Kulatilaka is Wing Tat Lee Family Professor of Management and Professor of Finance in the School of Management at Boston University. He serves as the co-director of the universityŐs Clean Energy and Environmental Initiative. His current research interests include the investments in clean technology, economics of business platforms, valuation of early-stage firms, role of energy intermediaries, technology licensing and financial contracting.

 

Professor Kulatilaka has published over 75 papers in scholarly journals, and is the co-author of the book Real Options: Managing Strategic Investment in an Uncertain World ( Harvard Business School Press). He is the recipient of John Russell Award for excellence in executive teaching (1998) the Association for Investment Management and Research's Graham and Dodd Award (1994), held the Bertil Danielsson Professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics and Gšteborg University, and the Tamkang Chair at the Tamkang University in Taiwan.  Professor Kulatilaka is the co-founder of Glaze Creek Partners LLC and International Internet Services.  

 

He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College, London, a master's degree in decision and control from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in economics/finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
