Bravo!

Hello again, and welcome to Frankly Speaking, my column about stuff. Well, I was out with my girlfriend (ex girlfriend now) Monday night and no matter where we went, the game was on. Now, both of us were a little weary after the first three games (just the news of it was depressing, and one of the reasons I didn't watch the series was because of the first two innings of game one (c'mon, you've not only just started, but you're fresher than the Yankees because of your Anaheim sweep)), we thought that game four couldn't happen again, and she was having a bad day, so we were trying our best to avoid it. However, no matter where we went, whether it be Walmart, IHOP, or even Toys R Us, the game was on, or there would be news of the game from someone, so finally, we got home and watched the rest of the game.

I'm glad we did. In a series, which by all rights should drag out to game seven, I was disappointed to know that it could possibly be over in game four. The Red Sox are too good a team for that to happen, and too good a team to lose in game five either. I'll be reasonable about game six, as long as they continue to try as they did in the last two games. All seven games should be like the last two, given the level of both teams. The Sox have a better head-to-head record, but it's very close, which is why I think it would be dragged out to game seven, assuming that both teams used maximum effort.

Now, every one says "this year's the year" every year, and that usually isn't the case, but if they play as well as they did in the last two games, then this might be the year. Even if they lose in this game tonight they still have their honor, provided they try as hard as they have for the last two, and isn't that all that really matters?
