AS413 - Images from N-body Simulations
Below is a set of images that shows the formation of a galaxy cluster
in a CDM universe. The different panels correspond to different
redshifts. This particular simulation was performed by Ben Moore
(University of Zurich) and his collaborators.

Below is a set of images that shows the formation of large-scale structure
in different types of cold dark matter universes. "SCDM" is a CDM universe
with a density parameter of 1 and no cosmological constant.
"OCDM" is a CDM universe with a density
parameter of 0.3 and no cosmological constant. "LCDM" is a CDM universe
with a density parameter of 0.3 and a cosmological constant of 0.7.
"tau-CDM" is a type of CDM universe which we haven't talked about.
These particular simulations were performed by the VIRGO collaboration
(based largely at the MPIA in Garching, Germany).
