Yuting Zhang is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering, at Boston University. She works in the Multimedia Communications Lab and Smart Lighting Engieering Research Center, advised by Professor Thomas D.C. Little.
Her current research focuses on the lighting optimization with the interpretation of user activity in smart lighting environments, to integrate dynamic energy management, visible light communication, user productivity and healthcare. She recently took a Lighting R&D Intern in development and deployment of Daylighting Lab in Osram Sylvania, Beverly, MA. Other engineering projects include a wireless network of cameras on the Thompson Island, Boston, MA and wireless sensor networks using micro-controllers.
She received the B.S. in Telecommunication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009. She is a student member of IEEE,
Computer, Communication, and Engineering in Medicine and Biology Societies.
