Yasaman Khazaeni

PhD Candidate

Boston University

I am a 4th year PhD candidate at the Division of Systems Engineering, Boston University. As a brief background, I have a dual-degree Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. I continued my graduate studies in petroleum engineering in West Virginia University, Morgantown WV, where I earned my Masters degree in Reservoir Engineering focusing on the application of Artificial Intelligence in reservoir modeling. After that I worked at WVU as a research associate directing projects related to modeling and risk management of CO2 sequestration in mature oil fields. I have worked on several projects building and analyzing data-driven models for giant oil reservoirs in the middle-east.
I started my PhD studies in Systems Engineering in Boston University where now I am a PhD candidate graduating by the end of year 2015.

My main research focus is on multi-agent systems control in uncertain environment. I pursue online control solutions using model predictive control (receding horizon control) methods to solve path planning problems in stochastic missions with multiple mobile elements and non-uniform interest points.
