"STRIFE... A surprising look at Christmas!"
Synposis
Rivet & Tuft intercept information relating to plans by
the dastardly bad guy Strife to make everyone, starting with the youngest of students,
forget what Christmas and generosity is all about. They start off on an adventure to muck
Stife’s plans up with only one clue to go on... They must discover what the greatest
present ever given was and who gave it so that they will never forget how to give.
How can you use this performance?
The story serves as a timely reminder for everyone, whether Christian or not, that Christmas can be about relationships and the ‘gift’ that we are to each other rather than only being about presents... That "Strife" really does win out when we get this balance wrong! Children are affirmed in their own value and uniqueness as they hear that the Creator stepped into creation out of love for each of us... That no matter who we are the Creator of the universe loves us! If that's a message you want to send in an entertaining, whimsical way, this is the performance for you.
While Grant and Trevor have many shows and workshops to offer schools, this particular Christmas story has been created with Religious Education and Christian Option programs in mind. To that end, the following bible passages fit rather well: John 3:16 and I John 3:16-18.
What will you experience?
