FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cinderella With A TwistNew Performance for First Week of September HolidaysWednesday, August 23, 2000 -- Fresh from the Adelaide Festival Centre’s ‘Something On Saturday’
program, ‘Cultured’ clowns Messieurs Rivet and Tuft are ready to
present ‘Cinderella With A Twist’. Local performers Grant Wildman
(alias Tuft the clown) of Seacombe Heights along with Trevor Wright
(Rivet) from Upper Sturt have worked together for 17 years, telling their
stories and embellishing them with their improvised mayhem. They have just
returned from five weeks in NSW performing in schools and conferences and
are preparing to leave for performances in the USA in October. ‘We are aiming to create a fun and affordable, seasonal theatre option
for families with our unique style of performance’, says Trevor.
‘Families all over the country really enjoy the audience interaction,
the circus stunts, and the trouble the two clowns create for themselves as
they tell their twisted tales.’ So if you need a break from watching Olympic events get the kids in the
car and come along for a great hour of fantastic
family entertainment. Why not get dressed up as your favourite Cinderella
character and have a chance to throw your ideas into how the story
unfolds?! Shows are at 11am and 2pm each day from Wednesday the 20th to Friday
22nd of September at the Brighton Uniting Church Hall (next to Bi-Lo).
Admission $6 (GST included), discounts available for groups. Bookings can
be made on 8296-4808; some tickets will be available at the door.
