Hello to all friends and supporters of Rivet 'n' Tuft!
This is just a little note to say Hi and let you know about what the 2
clowns are up to in the coming months and most importantly about their
trial theatre season!!
Elsewhere on this site is a press release providing information on the
theater event: "Cinderella with a Twist." Check it out here.
While they spend up to four months of the year on the road in country
South Australia or interstate, Rivet and Tuft also hope to establish a
regular holiday season of theatre locally in South Australia.
This note comes to you as a supporter in one way or another. The best
people to let know of the theater event are those who have seen something
of R&T's work. Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you
think you know of families who may be interested please forward the
relevant information along to them. This will be a great help in making
the time a success and encouraging the clowns to try again at a later
time. If you think that you would like posters or fliers, please let us
know by emailing Dramatic
Solutions and we will get some out to you. Please supply your postal
address.

January
Victorian Christian Youth Convention
February
Tours to North-Western Victoria and then Kangaroo Island
March
Very busy Fringe YEP program and Tour to Melbourne
April
Christian Option programs in the Port Augusta area, Tour to Hobart
May
Far West Coast South Australia tour
June
Quick trip to Lameroo and MC'ing at Craigmore Christian School's
Anniversary night
July
Performance in Festival Centre Trust's "Something on Saturday"
program in the Optima Playhouse. Then off to NSW on the same day.
Performances and workshops at Kidsong 2000 (part of Hillsong). Straight on
to the International Christian Dance Fellowship in cold, cold Mittagong
(it was good to see the Jamaican's rugging up!). This was a Dance and
Movement conference and was the second time that we have been involved
(the first time was South Africa in 1997). This was followed by a tour of
schools and churches from Maitland and Newcastle to Nowra.
August
Catch our breath , mow the lawns and lots of local work
Still to come...
September
Riverland tour, Holiday Theatre Season..."Cinderella with a
twist!"
October
Kerang, Bendigo and Melborne tour. Off to San Fransisco for some Church
and School work with 2 public performances...WITH OUR FAMILIES!!! We are
pretty excited about that one! Some wonderful people from a very artistic
and arts-oriented Church have invited us over.
November
Christian Option Programs for South-East South Australia, Victor Harbour
(maybe), Christmas shows for the Brighton Minister's Association, and York
Peninsula trip.
December
Quieter month with Churches mostly looking for Carols involvement and
Christmas themes...a lot of fun. Still room for any schools who may wish
to book our Christmas show "Strife".
Throughout the
Year...
All through the year our days are peppered with work in local schools,
churches, and local communities.
Again if you think that you could use posters or fliers for the
"Cinderella with a Twist" theater show, let us know. Thanks
