Great time helping the church and Sunday school start off their new year. “History of the World” was the story. Had some great help from Calum, Sarah and Andrew. Well done you lot!
We were out in the park at the amphitheatre for this one along with a band from Adelaide. This was part of a program that the church runs over Summer of outdoor evening creative services as an outreach to the local area. The band was great, we had a great time with the crowd smattered over the hill huddling blankets against the cold wind. “Dab and Doog” is a great story which carried and captivated the audience. Thanks to the “Undesirable volunteers” as well as our great police woman!
Fantastic times with the years 7, 10 and 12. Performance for all sorts of reasons. Year 7 for themes, Year 10 drama students because they were looking at comic timing. Year 12 because they have a subject where they need to present some issue or theme creatively. Thoughtful chat time after the show. Great audience! Lots of fun!
Devised Theatre workshop for year 12 RE students. Follow-up to the performance last week. Exploring issues of communication, theme development and presentation through non-verbal performance media. Projections, masks, sounds. A lot of input in a punchy 1 hour!
A team community building workshop using circus and mask to touch on themes such as personal identity, making and keeping friends, prejudice, mask wearing, informed risk taking and hidden potential. We had a fantastic time with 166 energized year-8 girls getting into everything on offer. Great 16 person collapsing pyramid at the end, girls!!! Great after-lunch session, too!

We did eight performances on this tour at a variety of places:
| Calvary Chapel Christian School …very excited years K-6! Dab & Doog | |

Devised Theatre workshop for year 6-7 creative arts team & In-service for teachers heading towards Easter presentations.
Now here is a different type of event. You get a mix of incredibly dedicated staff and volunteers from all over SA who are committed to the positive development of young people, book out a large part of a caravan park and host over 3,000 people for an annual event! Stages, food, radio station, safety, beach, carnivals, craft, performances, reflection times and opportunities to explore the Christian Faith further. Country and city kids getting together for an event with the theme Link-in. What a hoot!
What were Rivet ‘n’ Tuft doing here? Well apart from their 19th birthday together as a team they were presenting a new show for the masses. Grant sand Trevor had a great time devising this show…“The air is Yahweh’s” as a joint project between InHaus Fish and Dramatic Solutions. Great working with the enthusiasm and creativity of other artists particularly Peter Riggs. Mark Finnlay came on board as a wonderful Beggar Prince.
Lots of prep time and over in 45 minutes! Hopefully the images music and ideas will last longer than that!
Two fun performances for the students down there. The school runs a “You Can Do It “ Program similar to Program Achieve and the performance fitted in with the program wonderfully. Thanks to Roxanne for getting us down there and great bakery recommendation!
Hello to all you students out there! And especially little Blossum for being such a brave bush!. Thanks Jan for setting us up in the library!
Great to hear the stories of people setting goals and working as teams to achieve them! Many great examples. Dab & Doog got a work out for the early birds and The Whsiperers was used as a motivational spot for the masses. Thanks so much to Julie and Frank for recommending us. Great to work with Christine and Neil.
History of the World for Easter. Some great questions from the kids.

Fantastic time with the year 12 ladies! Rachel on the uni cycle to
start really set the mood. Great Job! The students loved seeing their year
12 coordinator up on the tall uni at the end. All that with some serious
fun in the middle!!! Thursday April 10: Siena College Year 9’s
‘Dab and Doog’ and a reflection on some of the themes of Easter. Hi Loretta, Launa, and others who took part. We really enjoyed the discussion afterwards. Thanks for a great week with Sienna students as well as the year 8’s back in February, Toni!
Afternoon before the holidays start! Just the right time for a circus workshop. Thanks Gail for getting it together.

Communication & Team Building workshop with interns there. Exploring ways for the teams who do presentations to school and community groups to communicate what urban street life in the city of Melbourne is like.
Communication & Team Building w/s with interns there. Exploring ways for the teams who do presentations to School and community groups to communicate what urban street life in the city of Melbourne is like. The aim was to help them to shift from a lecture style presentation to an interactive and experiential approach to presentations suitable for High school students.
Rivet ‘n’ Tuft performing and then handling the ‘forum afterwards with questions from the students to a panel of ‘experts’. These two sessions were for 300 year 9 & 10 students from Trinity and Colac Colleges.
Great work from little Joel and Mr King who worked so well together to create the king in our story. Joel held on so tight to Mr King that we had trouble getting him back down!
A two hour mask making and team building workshop for 12 year 10 students. Fabulous willingness to get into the plastering of each others’ faces! This was the morning after the cosmetics and hairstyling evening the day before! Thanks to Karen and Carolyn for their organization of the events in and around Colac.

Mylor Baptist Camp. Mask work: ‘Rope Swing’ 160 13 years and up.

Fabulous fun for the families involved in Interchange which is a support organization for people affected by Downs Syndrome. Horse rides, Music, Radio, Food, and a couple of clowns. We did a cut down version of Jack!. Performing with these young people you always have to stay on your toes and be prepared to go with the flow a bit!!! It was no different today. We had some great input from the kids with helpful ‘stunt doubles’, frightening Giants and some great beans all climaxing in a rain storm of yellow balls from a nearby ‘ball pen. They were meant to be golden eggs but when the kids started to give them to the giant…well Jack complained and wanted some for himself and he ended up with 43 of the things down his Pants no less!

Fog in Melbourne meant that we were 3 hours late flying out of Adelaide and that the the planned workshops in mask and Commedia for Victory Christian College in Bendigo and their year 7/8’s had to be cancelled. That was frustrating for everyone.
2 wonderful shows with enthusiastic Students. A highlight was the incorporation of students from the schools own “Little Circus” into the 2 shows. 10 students participated and performed to their peers for each performance. Well done everyone and remember… “Beware the Whisperers!”
Years 7-10 assembly fantastic time with these students. Great work by Gab the year 10 fullback for the footy team. Looked great on the uni Gab! Well done to Matt the wheel barrow, Mr Ryan the belly button and to the ‘Reader for the morning’ Laura. Thanks to Josie for organizing the time for the RE department.

Performance of “History Of The World” for St John’s Grammar School’s year 5’s. Never seen so many cameras in a school audience! Enthusiastic students and some great question to follow up. The large water squirter was a major memory!
Performed as part of the school’s ‘Program Achieve’ / ‘You Can Do It’ program. All the best with your soccer dreams Joss. Thanks for all those who participated.

| Stirling North Primary School |
| Flinders View Primary School | |
| Pt Augusta West Primary School | |

Combined performance for the 2 centres. The story Of “Oops!…Growing From Blunders” was wonderfully received by the students. Slickman was sent off with a rousing cheer and explosion and when Barry threw off his ‘attire’ he was applauded. Disappointment when the bike suffered a mechanical problem but the students got the idea of what ‘Proto’ would have looked like if the bike had been ridden. The themes of being different and successful as well as tolerating differences came through loud and clear. Thanks to all those who were involved.
Great time with the students out at Elizabeth. They were passionately involved with the story and its themes. Thanks for having us Penny.
2 quick visits with the adults saw Collin the ‘stunt man’ rocket on into a surprising future and crash into a handbag! The church will spend a lot of time unpacking the depths and profundities of that! Then 2 sessions with the Kidzone kids where we had a great time retelling “The Plate-Maker”. The children really connected with young Joey and his desire to be a plate-spinner against all the odds. They loved seeing Dogma and Stern kicked out!
A very funny show of The Whisperers with the drama students from years 9-12. Thanks to Darryl, Steve, Ahmed, James and Andy for helping. There were others but can’t remember the names! Great resources at the school for drama. Thanks to Sylvia for having us along.
