I am an assistant professor at the ECE department of Boston University. I received a B.S. and an M.S. degree from Fudan University in China, and a Ph.D. degree from Princeton University, all in Electrical Engineering. While at Princeton, I contributed to the MESCAL project of Gigascale System Research Center. My research effort led to the creation of the SimIt series instruction-set simulators and the architecture description language MADL. My current research interests include design tools and methods for embedded systems and processors, and design language for electronic systems. Most recently, I have been working on a new method named Lyra for modeling and designing hardware.

I love teaching, researching and programming. I enjoy spending my meager spare time with my family. Occasionally I play a Go game. I am probably at the amateur 2D level, nevertheless far superior to the strongest computer program. One day I may design a computer to defeat myself.
