Dr. Coster’s interests are development of children and youth with disabilities and outcomes measurement. She coauthored Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI), and the School Function Assessment (SFA), two of the first standardized functional assessments designed specifically for children with disabilities. Her current projects include developing a new measure of participation and environment for school-age children, revision of the PEDI into the new PEDI-CAT, and developing a version of the PEDI-CAT tailored for children and youth with an autism spectrum disorder.  Dr. Coster is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, a member of the Academy of Research of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation, a recipient of the A. Jean Ayres Research Award, the Sargent College Award of Merit, and the 2007 Eleanor Clarke Slagle Award from AOTA (Slagle lecture given the following year in April 2008).
