Tryout Information

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 season:

Sunday, September 13th - 12pm-2pm
Tuesday, September 15th - 6pm-8pm
Thursday, September 17th - 6pm-8pm

Please arrive 15 minutes early for tryouts to get a tryout number and warm up. There will be a tryout fee of $5, which goes toward club fundraising efforts. Tryouts take place on Court 4 of FitRec's second-floor "Four-Court Gym". A first round of cuts will be made on the 15th, followed by final cuts on the 17th. Players are required to attend both of the first two tryouts, and the third one if they are selected for it. Grad students who want to be practice players should also attend tryouts. If for any reason you can not make one of the tryout times, please contact the coach and/or captain as soon as possible.

An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, September 3rd at 6 pm. It will take place in FitRec, and the room will be posted here when it is determined. The meeting will discuss the level of commitment required, tournament schedule, tryout setup, and general dynamic of the team. Returning players run the meeting, and will be happy to answer any questions from players trying out. If you're trying to figure out if volleyball will fit your schedule, if club is for you, or want to get a preview of what the team is like, you should definitely attend.

An optional captains practice will run on Thursday, September 10th, from 6pm-8pm on Court 4 at FitRec. It is not required and will have no effect on who makes the team... it is just to make everyone familiar with each other, relaxed, and ready for tryouts.

We'll also have a table set up at SPLASH if you're a freshman and want to get more information or meet some of the team.
