...so, you want to be a Treblemaker...

Well, who could blame you??  Not us!!  So let us tell you a little about the auditions process. Auditions take place at the beginning of every semester.
Auditions: Like most auditions we will first have you do some five-note scales up and down, just to warm you up and get a sense of your range. Afterwards, we may do some pitch-matching exercises, where we play you a series of notes and ask you to sing them back. Finally, as with most groups, we will have you sing a short excerpt (a verse and a chorus) of a song that you feel best shows off your voice.

Callbacks: The morning after the last day of auditions we will post a callback list on our website and in SAO. At callbacks you will be asked to sing with us, to see how you perform with the group. We will have quick introductions, warm up as a whole, and once we are all warmed up the Trebs will perform for you! After you get a sense of how we perform, we will teach you a short section of one of our pieces, and have you sing with us. This is how we determine your blending ability as well as get to know you personally.
After the whole process is over, we will post a final list of people whom we have decided to invite into the group. We encourage everyone to come and audition for us, as long you like to sing! Hope to see you soon, and good luck! Keep your eyes peeled for audition dates on our website and all over campus. If you have any questions, feel free to email us.
