Ezra Benjamin

MA - Boston University
BS - Colgate University

Ezra finished his MA in 2004.He used direct measurements from melt inclusions, as well as a hygrometer based on REE in pyroxene to constrain water contents at Irazu volcano, Costa Rica. He is now an environmental consultant with Environmental Resource Managemnet (ERM) in Boston.

   

Katherine Kelley

PhD - Boston University
BA - Macalester College

Katie completed her PhD in the summer of 2003, which focused on the relationship between the composition of subducted oceanic crust and the lavas erupted at overlying volcanoes, as well as the role of water in the subduction processes.
She completed a post-doc at the Carnegie Institution of Washington, and is now an Assistant Professor at URI's Graduate School of Oceanography.

 

 

   

Michael Hamilton - BA

Mike completed his BA in 2003.His thesis title was "Using phenocryst composition as a water proxy in
Alamagan lavas, Mariana Islands."

Linda Farr - MA

Linda completed her MA in 2002, and has moved onto Florida International University's program in forensic chemistry.

   
   

Jessica Dockendorff - BA

Jessica received her BA in 2002. Her senior thesis and UROP title was "Sourcing heavy minerals in sedments from the Merrimack Embayment using ICP-MS and LAM."

Briana Mordick - BA

Briana received her BA in 2002. Her senior thesis and UROP title was "ICP-MS analysis of discrete ash layers from the Izu-Bonin Arc system." She has moved onto the MS program at the University of South Carolina.
