About me

I am originally from Zelenograd, a town-satellite of Moscow, Russia (we got into Wikipedia!). Zelenograd is a sister-city to Talsa, OK (be warned, the information on the page is somewhat outdated - I am sure there are more than one pizza delivery place now).

My undergraduate alma mater MIET (or MIEE), also in Zelenograd. Besides academia, MIET is famous for sculptures by Ernst Neizvestny. Unfortunately, pictures of his MIET works on the net are rare. Here is one rather gloomy picture from Mr. Neizvestny's site. Trust me, it looks much better in real life.

My next alma mater: New Economic School, Moscow.

I am married to Sergei Izmalkov, a fellow NES alumnus. We have two daughters: Daria and Ekaterina.

I keep a livejournal, primarily in Russian, mostly to keep up with my friends and former classmates. Sometimes I post about Economics or current events.
