Alexander
Taubin joined Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Boston
University as Associate Professor in January 2002.
He received
his Ph.D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Electrotechnical University of
St.Petersburg, Russia. From 1993 to 1999 he was a professor of the Department
of Computer Hardware at the University
of Aizu, Japan. From 1999 to 2001 he was
with Theseus Logic, Inc. as Senior Scientist. His research interests include
design of asynchronous and secure systems (analysis, synthesis,
testing, formal verification and architectural
design) and
computer-aided design methodology. Dr. Taubin coauthored three books in
asynchronous design and has published more than 60 journal and conference
papers. He has served on the technical committees of several international
conferences in his field. He was a program co-chair of Async'96 Symposium and
a program co-chair of Async'2008
Symposium. He is IEEE Senior Member since 1996.
