Boston Lindy Kats is BU's swing and lindy hop dance club. It was formed in the spring semester of 2004. We are a club, not a team -- there are no auditions! Membership is open to anyone interested in learning to dance, opening up their repertoire to new styles, or expanding their swing experience. We charge no dues, so essentially membership is free. However, we dance around Boston a lot, so you'll have to pay for 1) transportation [mainly just T fare for the bus or train], 2) the occasional lesson/dance fee at some venues [between $5 and $15 per night, unless we go somewhere free], or 3) the fee for any dance workshops, exchanges, or special events we attend. |

| BLK holds weekly meetings. We usually reserve said meeting for Wednesday, but we may on occasion change our meeting to a Monday or Friday, depending on where we decide to dance that week. At the beginning of the semester, if any members are interested, the E-Board will hold a weekly hour meeting to go over swing and lindy hop basics. The main goal of BLK, though, is to integrate its members as much as possible in the Boston social dancing scene. Lucky for us, Boston holds a social dance or lesson almost every day of the week, so there are many options for club meetings or even yourself if you want to go dancing another night! | ||
