Lindy hop, a fusion of many swing dances, evolved in New York City from the late '20s to the early '30s. It is based on jazz, tap, breakaway and charleston. Lindy hop today is danced as a social dance, and Boston hosts almost daily dances around the city!

Boston Lindy Kats is BU's lindy hop and swing dance club. We meet once a week to teach beginner lessons (if you've never danced before) and take weekly trips around the city to dance with the Boston swing dancing community.

BLK is led by BU students that have a passion for breaking out into dance! For the 2007-2008 school year, our E-Board consists of:

President: Adriana Hernandez '09
Vice-President: Alex Leavitt '09
Treasurer: Kathleen Scanlan '11
Secretary: Donna Riggle '11
