1/28/10 -Help Out with the Region F Conference!
Here is a note from Sam Byrnes, our conference coordinator:
Hey ladies! This year our SWE section has been selected to host the Region F Conference in the Spring! We're going to have great speakers, a huge career fair, a student research poster session and many amazing networking opportunities! If you're interested in helping out with this great opportunity then send me your name, email contact, year, availability for the weekend of April 10/11th and any special skills or area you'd like to help out with. Thanks and I look forwarding to hearing from you!

1/23/10 -Get Involved with SWE!
SWE BU Section: If you are interested in running for a 2010-11 SWE position, e-mail your name, picture, and speech to heat@bu.edu by Thursday, February 4th
SWE National: If you are interested in running for Region Collegiate Representative, Region Collegiate Communications Editor, or Region Collegiate Senator, follow this link for more information
Organize an Event: If there's a fun event or outreach project you want SWE to do, make it happen! Partner up with a friend as an Event Leader and Event Promoter and attend the next general meeting to give us your ideas. Currently, there is a SWE trip to the Improv Asylum being planned for the semester.

11/5/09 -Upcoming November Events
The semester is well underway and SWE has 2 events coming up. SWE Boston is holding a public speaking network event open to both collegiate and professional members. Go to the links on the right to get more information about the event and registration. The annual SWE Black, White, and Pink party is going to be the following Thursday on November 19th.
9/9/09 - Back to School
Meeting minutes from tonight's call have been posted on the Conference page and the SWE "Region F 2010 Conference Planning" Community.
In addition, the first general SWE meeting is September 21st at 8pm in PHO210!

-The Society of Women Engineers in Boston will often utilize promotional totes as part of their marketing and advertising efforts for upcoming tradeshows and conferences.
-Some Boston University SWE members have DIRECT TV boxes installed at their apartment complexes, which provide great ways to watch their favorite movies, sports and more.
-SWE members often reach out to movers and moving companies throughout Boston, if they are looking to move to other New England cities.
-While working on engineering projects, engineers often contact different equipment rental companies to supply more specialized and hi-tech equipment than can be found in typical college classrooms.
