My wife Mary is a librarian for the City of Boston. Our son Lucas is 9 years old and in fourth grade. Daltrey is our fairly odd cat that lives with us in a big old Victorian house in Dorchester, MA.

Mass Energy

I am president of the board of directors for the Massachusetts Energy Consumer's Alliance (aka Energy Consumer's Alliance of New England and Rhode Island's People's Power and Light). Mass Energy sells green electricity, functions as a consumer's oil cooperative (including the distribution of bio-fuel), and promotes solar energy programs, community oil assistance, and clean, consumer-friendly advocacy.

Climbing

A key component of my life that helps keep me somewhat sane is rock (trad and sport) and ice climbing, and extensive hiking and winter camping.
