Madness Against Malaria

A letter from Nepal

Global Aids Week Of Action

The BUSPH Rotaract Club was the winner of an international malaria fighting competition that ended on April 15th.

The "Beantown Beatdown of the 'Squiter" raised over $8000 as part of the Madness Against Malaria campaign - every dollar to go towards the purchase and distribution of long-lasting insecticide treated bed nets for the prevention of malaria in sub-saharan Africa.

The BUSPH Rotaract club would like to thank all of our friends and supporters who contributed to this effort. The success of our team is a tribute to all of you, and shows how simple, targeted interventions can really make a difference.

On Friday, May 4, the team will be awarded a trophy from one of the Madness Against Malaria campaign's co-founders, Lance Laifer. There will be an award presentation in the Talbot Founders Room from 5-6 pm to honor this celebratory difference the Rotaract Club and its partners have made in the fight against malaria.

All are welcome to join, please RSVP by Thursday May 3th to Jessica Kraft at jkraft@bu.edu to account for all who wish to attend .
