PORSCHE
This is my first web-page. Considering I am really really into cars, I will briefly discuss my favorite car manufacturer: PORSCHE -- and, specifically, the 911.
Porsche AG was founded by Ferdinand Porsche in 1931. Since then, its headquarters have been located in Stuttgart, Germany. Since then the auto brand has become known as one of the most prestigious sports car brands in the world. Today Porsche produces just a few cars (although there are multiple versions of each). They include:
- 911
- Cayenne
- Caymen
- Boxster
The Porsche 911 is an iconic sports car, and, hence, the car that mst people think of when the name Porsche comes to mind.. Since the 1960's subtle changes in design and format have produced the machine that is so reveared today. For 2007, there are fourteen different models. Their prices range from around $80,000 to $130,000; their horsepower, fromless than 350 to nearly 500. To the left is a picture of the 911 Turbo Cabriolet. It is one of the world's fastest convertibles, but it is the result of years of technological and stylistic development. What makes the Carrera (in any one of its fourteen forms) so interesting is that it is an amalgamation of classic style cues and new-age tenacity.
