"Nature seems to have taken every precaution that these, her choicest treasures, may not lose value by being too easily obtained." - Alfred Russel Wallace

Curiosity about and appreciation for nature foster habits for environmental conservation. In all of my teaching experiences, I have sought to instill enthusiasm and interest in nature's diverse complexities. In discourse, I find as much enlightenment from questions and comments as I hope to share. My objective in teaching is to pique curiosities that will develop into lifestyles centered on enjoyment and fascination with the world around us.

Teachers: If you are interested in having a bat biologist / ecologist visit your class(es), I will be happy to try to make the time.

In addition to formally teaching biology in both high school anbd university classrooms, I have presented slide shows and discussions in classrooms, community centers, and in the field. I would enjoy working with you to create a lesson and activity that fits your curriculum or needs.
