Turn left onto Memorial Drive and continue for 1/4 mile Riverside is the gray boathouse on your left, across from Trader Joe's and Micro Center. via car On Greenough St, drive towards Washington St. Turn right on Washington St. Turn left on School St. Turn left on St. Paul St. and follow for nearly a mile to Commonwealth Ave. Turn right on Comm. Ave and drive .3 miles. Turn right onto Route 2 to Cambridge Go over BU Bridge Follow rotary to go left on Memorial Drive Riverside is the gray boathouse on your left, across from Trader Joe's and Micro Center. To Worcester - Lake Quinsigamond To Regatta Point State Park - Best view of finish line 10 Lake Ave. North Worcester, MA Take the Massachusetts Turnpike, Route 90 West Get off at Exit 11A and take Route 495 North; drive 2.7 miles Get off at Exit 23B and take Route 9 West; drive 10.3 miles Turn right immediately after bridge onto Lake Avenue North. The park entrance is just ahead on the right. Paid parking is usually available on the left and up the hill at the UMass Medical Center. In 2008 parking fee was about $4 for the whole day. On street parking risks getting a parking ticket. For some regattas spectators are charged admission to enter the gates. To Donahue Rowing Center - Best view of starting line 237 North Quinsigamond Avenue Shrewsbury, MA From Regatta Point State Park, go back to Route 9, turn left and drive over the bridge. Turn left on North Quinsigamond Ave and drive 1.2 miles to the Donahue Rowing Center on left. To Regatta Point from Donahue Rowing Center Head south on North Quinsigamond Avenue, towards Eastern Point Drive Turn right on Route 9 West. To Lowell - Bellegarde Boathouse (follow link for more details) 550 Pawtucket Blvd, Lowell, MA Take Route 9 West and merge onto Route 128 North Take to Route 3 North. Take exit 32 off of Route 3 at Rt.4 in Chelmsford. Take your first right at the stop at the top of the exit onto Drum Hill Road. Follow that straight through two sets of lights. At your third set of lights bear left through the fork. Follow this road straight through two sets of lights. At your third set of lights bear left through the fork (green arrow for left). Follow straight through two more sets of lights (Market Basket on left and White Hen Pantry on your right). This will put you on the Rourke bridge which passes over the Merrimack River. Take a right off of the bridge onto Pawtucket Blvd. The boathouse is 200 meters down on the right. The course starts about 1000m above the boathouse and goes to 500m below. To Kent from Boston (est. 3 hours) Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Sturbridge, MA and I-84 Southwest. Follow I-84 through Hartford, CT to exit for Farmington, CT/Route 4. Travel west on Route 4 to Cornwall Bridge, CT, bearing left on Route 7 South. Follow Route 7 South to Kent, CT. Once in Kent, turn right at stoplight and monument onto Route 341 West. Cross bridge over the Housatonic River and turn immediately right. The crews will be setting up in this field. Directions to Course Finish Line: After crossing bridge, continue straight, with school on left. Take left on Schaghticoke Rd, follow for approximately two miles. River will be on left. Finish line in first clearing on left (with cheering people and a flag). To Wayland-Weston Boathouse from BHS Take Route 9 West for 11.8 miles Take Route 27 ramp towards Cochituate / Concord Turn slight right onto N Main St / Route 27 Drive 1.4 miles and turn left onto West Plain St Drive .2 miles, turn left onto Parkland Drive and proceed to the end. To Andover Parking at the boathouse is very limited and you are asked not to park along the access road leading to the boathouse. Arrangements
have been made for those attending races to park in the parking lot of
the Andover Companies and you are asked to do so. The Andover Companies is located 25 yards or so behind
the boathouse and it is an easy walk through the woods to
get to the race site. From Rt. 93 north or south: Exit 45, RIVER RD. Please do not leave any trash in the parking lot. |
