"An Eastern Affair"
Time: 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Friday, April 18th, 2008
Place: The Alley, GSU Lower Level, 775 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA
Description:
A classy, semi-formal (shirt and tie) event, created by the BU Russian American Culture Club and made possible with the assistance of the BU South Slavic Society and Babson Russian Club.
Ethnic Eastern European dinner will be served (including chicken kabob, pierogi, blini, crepes, Napoleon pastries, and much much more), after which DJ Dan will spin the music, lighting up the dancefloor, with a true mix of American and European top hits. Any and all Russian dance songs requests - email racc@bu.edu ahead of time please.
Dress nice and have some fun!
Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door.
Tickets may also be reserved ahead of time by emailing racc@bu.edu, and picking them up at the event.
Doors close, along with the ticket sales at 11:00 PM.

Semi-Annual Durak Tournament
Time: 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 10th, 2008
Place: Howard Thurman Center, GSU Lower Level, 775 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA
Description:
Come enjoy some traditional Durak, Russian dessert, and meet some of the club's members in a relaxed setting at the Howard Thurman Center.

BU Cup Indoor Soccer Tournament
Time: Monday, November 12th (Veteran's Day - no class)
11:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Place: FitRec, 915 Comm Ave.
Description: We plan to field two Russian teams in this tournament.

Russian White Nights: A Black and White Party
Time: Thursday, November 15th.

Description: A night of pure entertainment.
Buffet style dinner by Vernisage in Brookline.
Boston DJ Oleg spinning the best of Russian and American dance tracks.
Meet the members of our club, as well as welcome our guests - Russian clubs from Bentley, Brandeis, Harvard, and Northeastern.
Come, bring your friends, and have a great time!
And remember - it's a Black and White Party! Please dress appropriately.

First Annual General Meeting/Durak Tourney
Time: Thursday, October 11th.
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Official event time only - feel free to stop by and leave as your schedule demands.
Place: Howard Thurman Center, GSU Basement (right across from BU Central)
Commentary:
The event turned out to be a success, with over 40 people attending.
Everyone enjoyed taking a break from the usual poker and cafeteria food, and engaging in some good old Durak and taking a bite of great Russian cuisine, catered by Victor's Cafe in Brookline.
