BOSTON UNIVERSITY COLLEGE BOWL FALL 2005 SCHEDULE
Heinrich Boll - Brandeis - 9/24 - We sent one team, finished 1-6 in round
robin but 2-1 in playoffs, good enough to win the "Tito Jackson" bracket
at this academic tournament that was won by Yale A.
Rhett Rumble - BU - 9/28 - Nine strapping young recruits made their way to
the Guitar Center building one beautiful September evening to compete in
our annual Rhett Rumble. Corner Gas defeated Sexual Chocolate for the championship,
which included a prize package of movie passes to the Fenway theatre and
Chocolate Lentils. The Chocolate walked away with cat treats, a defaced
Al Jefferson "growth chart", and some Poopie Pick-Ups in our "pet care" prize
package. We hope we didn't scare all of them away for good.
FOGHAT MIRROR - BU - 10/23 - Brandeis defeated Have You Had Your Phil?
in the thrilling final of this seven-team tournament which saw BU Alpha finish
5th and BU Omega finish 7th. Jack (1995 Seattle Mariners) and Nathan
(Bob Loblaw) finished among the top 10 individual scorers.
Illinois Open Mirror - BU - 11/5 - Harvard ended up with an undefeated
record at BU's first ever mirror of the Illinois Open, and both Paco Brito
and Frank Kelly were among the top 3 individual scorers. Our team finished
1-9 for 5th place (out of 6), however Jack ended up 8th on the top scorers'
list.
TRASH Regionals 2005 - BU - 11/12 - SQBS Results To Come - Screw
Hoops! Buy My CD! (Mike Hoey-Lukakis, Delano Barnes, Steve Watchorn,
Josh Levit) finished in 1st place, with Brandeis a close second.
