is a game I heard about from the Medical Foundation in Boston. It is good to
play with a large group. The message you can learn from this game is that All
of us are at that same time members of many groups and excluded from many
groups.
It is hard for most of us to
learn this lesson.

How
to play this game1. Have everyone who is
in the first group go to the opposite side of the room
2. The
members of the first group are to discuss among themselves and then choose a
couple of people to talk to the other group. (THE JOB OF THE SECOND GROUP IS TO
LISTEN--NOT TO RESPOND.) The spokespeople will tell:
a.
"What do you want members of the other group to know about you as a
group."
b. "A few things that you never want to hear
from the other group again."
c. "How the other
group can help you attain your goals."
Each new group is to do this exercise. Lots and lots
of different groups can be formed depending on the make up of the larger
group.
The overall message can be "I AM A MEMBER OF AND NOT
A MEMBER OF MANY DIFFERING GROUPS. I AM SIMULTANEOUSLY DIFFERENT FROM AND HAVE
SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH MOST MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN RACE."
