Welcome

I recently completed my PhD in musicology at Boston University. My main area of research was vocal duos in popular music, focusing specifically on the Everly Brothers, the roots and sources of their style, and their influence on later artists such as the Beatles.

I developed this site as a repository of information I collected about the Everly Brothers and vocal duos in other areas of American popular and vernacular music, particularly in musical theater (from minstrelsy to Broadway) and in country music.

If you are a fan of the Everly Brothers or are familiar with their work, please consider taking my survey. Many thanks to those of you who already have. Feel free to pass the link along to anyone you think might be interested.
