I may have RA openings, depending on available funding, to begin in September 2012 in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Boston University. Requirements for the position are:

Knowledge of finite element methods, computational mechanics

Strong background in solid mechanics and nonlinear continuum mechanics

C++ programming Strong preference will be given for students with MS degrees, though exceptional students with BS degrees will also be considered. Note that I am interested in students with strong theoretical or computational backgrounds, not experimental.
