In a 7 way tie for second were Tamer Karatekin, Jennie Frenklakh (BUCC president), NM Joel Johnson, Jonathan Wolff, Ronald Young, Kent Leung, and Jason Spector . Kent and Jason were also tied for the U2000 prize.

MIT's NM Elina Groberman (US women's co-champion) and NM Jennie Frenklakh (BUCC president) are old friends and rivals in the US Women's Championships. In this tournament, the Top Female player was Jennie Frenklakh (3.0 / 4.0).

Bill Stein, Jonathan Lee, and Robert Oresick tied for second with 3 1/2 points. (Lee and Oresick tied for top under 1600 as well.) The U1200 prize was shared by David Klegon, Matthew Klegon, and Greg Wilder, who traveled from Alabama to play, thus beating out Shaun Whelan from Tennessee for greatest distance traveled.

Trophies went to the top teams. MIT (Elena Groberman [US women's co-champion], Tamer Karatekin, and Kimani Stancil) edged Harvard (Charles Riordan, Josh Blanchfield, and Jonathan Wolff) by 1/2 point for the Top College trophy. Top High School honors were captured by Barrington High School, RI (Chris Toolin, Brandon Patel, and Nathan Patel.) Top primary school was the Sage School (Alexander Rice, Jack Rice, and Jonathan Poggi.) And, IM Bill Paschall's name will be inscribed on the perpetual plaque. |
