About Nemeton
Nemeton is the Wiccan Student Alliance here at Boston University , founded in the fall of the year 2000. The group has a wonderful membership full of bright and friendly people, Pagan and non-Pagan alike. We have also, from time to time, had members from various local Colleges and Universities; we are very open to all Wiccans and Pagans in the Boston area regardless of if they attend BU or not.
The group was founded to form a community of Boston Wiccans/Pagans , and amazingly enough, that goal was realized within the first few weeks of its inception. There is currently a strong friendship between members, and now the organization is moving on toward bigger and better things, adding new goals to our agenda and formulating new ideas at a steady pace. We're growing rapidly, physically as well as spiritually. We currently have members who also participate in the Inner City Pagan Circle, which is a group of Celtic Witches. ICPC also offers training to members of Nemeton.
Although we are a Wiccan group, our discussions include the other Pagan paths, such as Asatru, Strega, etc. We also hold open circles for all the Sabbats as well as some full moons/new moons.
We are steadily making our presence known throughout the Boston Metropolitan Pagan community, and hope that our presence will only help to enrich the diversity and creativity, along with the support, of the community.
