Philanthropy
Delta Phi Omega Sorority is dedicated to helping improve children's literacy all across South Asia as well as locally. The sisters volunteer, fundraise, and support this cause alongside several different organizations. With the determination that "knowledge is power," Delta Phi Omega strives to meet its goals in helping children live better lives by focusing on education. The three primary organizations we are involved with are
Asha for Education, Pratham USA, and CARE.

"Literacy through Unity" Week
Every February, Delta Phi Omega organizes and participates in a week long effort to fundraise for child literacy.
Asha for Education
Their focus is to provide education for children in India. By doing this, they strive to enhance the socio-economic situation of the country as a whole. There are 66 chapters in the world today, and each of them is supported vastly by volunteers who give their time to fundraise for the cause while simulataenously spreading awareness for indian culture.
Pratham USA
Their mission: "Every child in school and learning well." This organization began in 1994 in the slums of Mumbai and has spread throughout the country as well as to the US. Pratham USA's goal is to spread awareness of illiteracy in order to gain more volunteers to help the cause.
CARE
CARE is committed to helping poor families in areas all over the world. They began in 1945 after World War II and their mission is to make self-help achievable by the people who need it. They target issues such as illiteracy, disease, and discrimination. In this way, CARE paves the path for equality and opportunity.
