Welcome to my personal website! I am a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Boston University and a Research Assistant with the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) project. I will start in the fall as an Assistant Professor in the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San José State University. I have been a Visiting Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna, and the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation at the University of Warwick.
My interests lie broadly in the fields of European politics, American politics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and research methodology. My dissertation examines the regulation of corporate non-financial reporting, showing how the growth of voluntary standards has led to the development of new public policy in the European Union.
I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Boston University in 2017, an M.Sc. in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2008, and a B.A. in History from Cornell University in 2003.
