Michael Danti is an archaeologist who specializes in the ancient Near East. His interests center on the emergence of complex societies, agropastoral economies, tribe-state relations and pastoral nomadic societies. He directs archaeological projects in Syria and Iran, focusing on the Bronze and Iron Ages. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Boston University, a Consulting Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania Museum, and the Mesopotamian Archaeology Editor for Religious Studies Review.
