So, what have the kids been up to lately?

Funny you should ask that. Approximately two weekends ago Nancy and I went to University of New Hampshire to see Sarah present a poster session. For those of you who don't know what that is, think of a very scientific high school science fair. Posters are placed in a hall and people go through the hall and question the authors of the presentations on what they are doing.

Well, Sarah and her friend Caroline did a study on maximizing milk production from cows by synchronizing their estrous cycles. So, if you are confused, don't worry. Just trust me, it was a hell of a lot of work and extremely well done.

The presentation was in a beautiful room. As you can see there was a breakfast served and some of the posters were placed around the room. The poster for Sarah and Caroline was at the end of the hall on the right. As you can see, the overall poster had various subunits to read. For those of you interested in the science I took a picture of the abstract, introduction and materials and methods. I also have pictures of some data and some of the ultrasonographs taken by Sarah and Caroline. But of more interest to the rest of you, here are a couple of great pictures of both Caroline, and Sarah, with their arms up a cow. Yup, just what every father dreams of for his daughter. Finally, and I apologize that it is fuzzy, here is a picture of Sarah and Caroline standing by the poster.

And what of Daniel you ask? Amongst other things he has been busy with being a techy for the high school play which was "Your a Good Man Charlie Brown." Also, he helped out with Scituate's annual spring for the arts. In doing such he was asked to model some of his creations. As I think you know, he is an expert with duct tape. Not only in repairing stuff, but in making clothing from it. This expertise was put to good use at the arts fair as you will be able to see from this picture.

Well, Nancy and I are boring but at least are kids are exciting. All for now.
