Yang Lu received his B.Sc. degree in Physics (Optics Concentration) from Jilin University, China, in 2008. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Departement of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. Working as a research assistant under Prof. Thomas Bifano's supervision in the Precision Engineering Research Laboratory (PERL) , his research interests include design and modeling of new kinds of wavefront control devices, manufacturing technology development for MEMS optical components, and implementations of adaptive optics and wavefront modulation in imaging, and medical instruments.
