Octopus
An octopus is a long form game for six or more players.
Actors start a scene based on the audience's suggestion. Once they have established some characters and a storyline, the ref freezes the scene and tells the actors do a scene based on something the original scene mentioned, for instance, focusing on something one of the characters did earlier in there life or describing an event a character mentioned. After this new scene has progressed, the ref will either tell actors to return to the original scene or start a new scene based on yet another topic the action suggested.
The players are soon acting several scenes and storylines, and the ref alternates focus between the different scenes. The ref will also suggest one-off scenes that have no hope of going anywhere to add variety.
Besides the ref's own suggestions, the actors can also continue their scenes based on the audience's suggestions of what character or event they would like to hear more about.
