Gene’s 15th month
page is up (he just turned 15 months old today). We have some pictures that were taken around Florence
and other cities that will eventually be added; but it will likely be a
while before the next update.
We’re off to Boston!

What’s new? Added pages for Gene’s 14th
month pictures and some pictures we took during our 13th
anniversary trip to Venice.
Also added a couple more Florence pictures.
Our Italian adventure is
winding down quick here. We’ll
be flying back to Boston on the 30th so hopefully I’ll get a
chance to add some 15th month pictures before we leave.
Back to sorting stuff to
take – we came to Italy with
only 3 bags and we’ll be returning with the same!

A lot has happened around
here the last couple of months.
March 31st marked Gene’s first lap around the solar
system - Happy Birthday Gene!
To help us celebrate the occasion Laurel’s parents came for a
visit. Then in mid-April Bill’s
parents and his aunt and uncle came to town to see Gene and celebrate some
more.
When the family wasn’t too
busy spoiling Gene we had fun showing them around Firenze and giving them a
taste of what everyday life in Italy is like. However, after an entire month of grandparental
attention Gene was a bit grumpy when everyone left. We think he’ll survive.

What’s new? Added pictures of Gene during his
11th month. We’re
closing in fast on his first birthday, which is March 31st!
Also added pages for Pisa
and Rome. The Pisa pictures
were taken during two different trips: one in November during a conference
Laurel attended and the other at the end of December when Gene’s Godmother
Sheri came to visit him (well, she came to see us too…we think). During Sheri’s visit we also made a
trip to Rome in the beginning of January.
During the next week or so
I’ll start to put up the pictures we’ve taken around Firenze (Florence),
our hometown for the year.
There’s a lot of them and the collection grows larger every week so
I’ll be putting them up in groups rather than all at once - after I finish
sorting through them that is!

Well it’s only taken about
6 months for me to get around to putting together a new online photo album
of Gene. (Whoa, we’ve been
living in Italy for 6 months already!
Time flies!) I’d like
to blame it on the fact that all of my website development software is on
our desktop computer back in Boston (I used Microsoft Word for most of this
even though it’s really not…ahem…ideal for generating HTML code) or
that I’m too busy with language lessons, programming projects, and taking
care of Gene but really I’ve just been a lazy procrastinator. I’d claim I’ve been infected by the
slower paced Italian lifestyle but I was already a procrastinator before we
moved here.
Anyhow, here’s a picture
collection mostly of Gene. It
begins when we first moved here and he turned 5 months old. I’ll be adding new pages each
month. We’ve also got a bunch
of location pictures (Florence, Pisa, Rome, etc.) that I’ll be putting up
soon so you might want to check back from time to time.
