Statistic Definitions:
Games: Total number of games bowled in the current season.
Handicap: 80% of the difference between 220 and the bowlers average. This statistic is added to a bowlers score in a tournament to level the playing field for competitors of various averages.
Game 1, 2, 3: The bowlers scores on the last BUBA bowling trip. The highest game possible in tenpin bowling (as well as candlepin) is 300. A 300 games is comprised of 12 strikes in a row.
Series: The total of the bowlers scores for a bowing session. Traditionally, a series is comprised of three games. An official 900 series has been achieved only recently within the American Bowling Congress.
Total Wood: The total of all the scores bowled for the current season, also called total pinfall. Today, pins are not entirely wood, the wood is coated with with a type of plastic.
Average: The mean score by a bowler computed by dividing the total wood by the number of games.
High Game/High Series: The personal highs of each bowler for the current season.
