John Storck
- Research Interests
John Storck is responsible for a broadly-based research program
dealing with knowledge economy issues. One stream of work involves
studying business-to-business services, including a major project on
the relationship between B2B eCommerce, knowledge transfer, and
innovation. Other research activities focus on the nature of individual and group work in the knowledge
economy, with a particular emphasis on how communities of practice
enhance knowledge diffusion and learning. These activities encompass three interrelated perspectives: the management of work, the performance of work, and the role of advanced communications technologies in connecting workers with each other as well as with their managers.
Throughout Professor Storck's work, there is a focus on the interactions between business strategy and organizational capabilities, with particular emphasis on globally distributed organizations.
