John Storck - Profile

John Storck is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the Boston University School of Management. As Director of the Master of Science Program in Management Information Systems he was responsible for major marketing, curriculum development, and student advising initiatives which resulted in a top-15 ranking for the program, doubling of enrollment, and a substantial increase in student quality as measured by GMAT scores. Professor Storck teaches in the MS/MIS program as well as in the MBA program at BU, where he is a member of a cross-disciplinary team responsible for the core global manager course. He has also taught in executive education programs in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.

Professor Storck joined the Boston University faculty after an extensive career in industry, which included several years working in Europe. He was a Vice President of the Chase Manhattan Bank, responsible for European operations and systems. In this role, he worked closely with European headquarters management and country management to ensure effective integration of business and information technology strategy. Prior to this, he was a Manager in the Deloitte & Touche information systems consulting practice in New York, Madrid, and Milan. His experience also includes four years as CEO of a regional wholesaler of personal computers, where he organized venture capital financing, completed a successful start-up, and arranged for buy-out of the original investors. More recently, Professor Storck served as an expert witness in a major telecommunications antitrust case.
