I worked for two years at Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters Business as an Editorial Project Manager before deciding to return to Boston University to earn my Master in Broadcast Journalism. CBS Sunday Morning was my initial hook to broadcast journalism. |

Even though a “picture is worth a thousand words,” Charles Osgood’s writing style says more than a thousand visuals. Telling a stories growing up was natural for me, but with a visual and aural focus. It could be through dance, trumpet, or even writing. I don’t just hear music; I see it. It is more than just eighth notes and dramatic crescendos; it is the war and fall of a Russian empire and a soldier’s last march to battle. A dance isn’t just a mixture of glissade derrières and arabesques, it is a passionate lovers pas de deux. |

Life is not factory lines. Life moves, changes, varies, and offers unexpected textures. This is the life I seek in broadcast journalism. Any live show would be exciting. I am an in the moment kind of person and love to be kept on my toes. Besides, news is about the ‘now’ and what better way to do news than live. I refuse to accept a stale belief that what I know at this very moment is all I need to know the rest of my life. I hope to one day be a producer or director of a news magazine such as CBS Sunday Morning or 60 Minutes but in the meantime I enjoy editing long-form documentary style stories. |
